Dr. E. Swann Van Delden
Neurology
Introducing Dr. E. Swann Van Delden
Dr. E. Swann Van Delden received her doctorate of medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio (now the Joe R. and Theresa Lozano Long
School of Medicine) where she also completed internship and neurology residency. She is board certified in adult neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and in headache medicine by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties.
Dr. Van Delden joined Neurology Institute of San Antonio (NISA) in 2009 and evaluated and treated all adult neurological diagnoses. She was recognized in Super Doctors®
Rising Stars in Texas and “Top Doctors” in San Antonio in 2017 and 2018, both peer-ranked recognitions. In April 2019, a family medical issue required Dr. Van Delden to
take leave from practice. She is incredibly thankful the family medical issue resolved completely and is very happy to return to practice at NISA!
Dr. Van Delden has special interests in evaluating and treating patients concerned about memory loss and dementia. As such, she will lead the development of NISA’s mild
cognitive impairment (MCI) of the Alzheimer’s type / early dementia clinic.
There is a nation-wide shortage of neurologists. NISA has stepped up to help meet this need. In addition to our facility in San Antonio, we have clinics in Alamo Heights,
Boerne, Stone Oak, and Kerrville. Its facilities are designed for patient ease and comfort, and include onsite labs and infusion suites at each location as well as MRI,
EEG, EMG/NCV at certain facilities.
